As the Director of Commercial Strategy and Operations, Ian is responsible for advancing and formalizing the organic success of the commercial team and driving critical business expansion initiatives, supporting current customer management, and establishing processes to support growth and revenue. Ian is a former Submarine Warfare Officer, having served seven years on active duty in the U.S. Navy.

After completing his military service, Ian earned his MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, during which he also worked as an MBA Summer Associate at Danaher – Hach. Prior to joining Guzman, he was a consultant at Bain & Company, leading data-driven optimization projects, defining a go-to-market and sales strategy for a rapidly growing power systems company, and developing a sophisticated model for streamlining operational reporting structures for a large industrial conglomerate.

In addition to his MBA, Ian also holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy. A Colorado native and avid outdoorsman, he spends his free time skiing, mountain biking, and fly fishing.
