The City of Aztec, NM was one of Guzman Energy’s first wholesale customers in 2016. The partnership remains strong and multifaceted to this day.
Aztec’s goals were to:
- Stabilize their wholesale cost of power.
- Increase local solar power generation.
By partnering with Guzman Energy as wholesale power provider, Aztec, NM has:
- Secured reliable, affordable and price-stable wholesale power for the City.
- Built an approximately 1-megawatt solar-power electric generating facility. The solar field generates 200,000 kilowatt hours monthly, and Guzman Energy provides the balance of Aztec’s wholesale power needs.
I feel fortunate to have the reliable power at predictable and affordable prices that we have through our agreement with Guzman Energy. This is a true partnership that goes beyond purchasing power.
