Alex Wolf

Director of Financial Planning & Analysis

Alex’s career bridges engineering, energy, and finance. After earning a degree in Electrical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, he spent five years as an engineer in the oil and gas industry before pursuing his MBA at the University of Denver. While in graduate school, Alex worked at the National Renewable Energy Lab, where he focused on technology transfer and gained exposure to the rapidly evolving renewable energy sector. After graduating he worked in strategic finance for a semiconductor manufacturing equipment company, supporting investment decisions and long-term planning in a complex, global industry.

At Guzman Energy, Alex serves as Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. His role centers on forecasting and then measuring actual performance. By digging into the “why” behind the financials, Alex helps uncover the drivers of performance and translates those insights into lessons that support better planning and stronger operations going forward.

Outside of work, Alex enjoys life in Colorado and spending time outdoors. These days, much of his free time is dedicated to his young family—his wife, two small children, and their dog—but he looks forward sharing his love of the outdoors with his children in the years ahead.
