Brian is a multi-decade energy commodity industry veteran, with experience in trading, risk management, structured finance and retail energy. Brian currently manages Guzman Energy’s Risk Program, creating a disciplined environment for further business expansion. Brian has a BS (Finance) from the University of Montana, an MBA from Georgetown University and is a former US Marine Corps Officer.
Brian served as a Marine Logisitics and Transportation Officer, along with about a decade of service in the Marine Reserves. Brian has traveled periodically to Okinawa for both annual training and an operational deployment in support of Tsunami Relief. In this time, Brian also completed Amphibious Warfare School and Command & Staff College.
Brian is a proud dad to two children currently in active service–a US Army officer and a US Air Force officer. Of note, Brian’s father Joe served as a battery commander in the 1960s. Joe passed to Brian the family Marine Officer sword.
