Chris co-founded Guzman Energy with the vision of bringing economic competitiveness and market efficiency to underrepresented segments of the energy market.
A native of Douglasville, Georgia, Chris served as an enlisted Boatswain Mate in the Navy. He went on to receive an appointment and graduate with merit from the United States Naval Academy.
After commissioning, he served with distinction aboard cruisers and destroyers in numerous assignments, including as Ship’s Navigator and Chief Engineer. He was recognized as the Atlantic Fleet Shiphandler of the Year. He retired as a Commander from the Navy Reserve after 26 years of service.
He has a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management and advanced degrees from the Naval War College and the Naval Postgraduate School.
Chris serves on the Board of Directors of the Warrior Scholar Program, the Abrams Climate Academy Advisory Board, and is an associate member of the National Western Stock Show. He and his wife, Alexis, live in Denver, Colorado, with their three children.
